We are built of layers of deception. Humans are no different from molluscs with their outer crusty shells and inner tender vulnerable creatures. The mask and the curtain are core metaphors of the human condition elaborated in this series playing with contrasts and layers, creating fantastical forms and illusions, reflections of the mind’s madnesses unknown yet all too familiar.
